Your emotional well-being is happiness in your heart and this brings health benefits to your whole body.

Did you know that your heart beats nearly 100 000 times per day and pumps approximately 5000 ml of blood every day?

Because of that it is regarded as the hardest working muscle in your body.

This is the structural and physiological side of your heart and the emotional side of your heart is always connected to your body.

Happiness overflows from the inside of your heart. Heart affections affect all that you are.

When you are feeling happiness, it encourages you to make healthier life choices. As a result you get amazing health benefits including loving your life.

Heart Conditions

Let’s look at the qualities of a healthy heart from the emotional perspective.

We all need to pay attention to the welfare of our innermost heart because from there flows the wellsprings of life.

A tender heart has open doors filled with love and healing. You can easily receive and give freely.

A tranquil heart is free from agitation and absent of chaos. A peaceful heart is full of peace even in challenging situations.

A kind heart is caring and compassionate that will make you prosperous and blessed beyond your imagination.

Kindness increases your natural oxytocin “happy hormone” levels and increases antiviral immunity and stress resistance.

Study from the National Academy of Sciences showed clear distinction of people associated with kind actions and charity work and their immunity levels.

They had stronger antibodies and reduced number of inflammatory genes, which are beneficial in fighting against viral infections.

An understanding heart derives from wisdom and makes good choices in life.

When your heart flows with understanding, you’ll be very slow to get angry and make good decisions even in challenging circumstances.

Life will be smooth sailing for those with a virtuous heart. A virtuous heart has excellent morals of being honest, respectful and courageous. Virtues are the essence of our character.

This makes your body also more resistant to infections and depression by having a stronger immune system. Several studies demonstrate that happier people have lower levels of stress hormones (cortisol).

Secondly, emotional well-being helps you to make better life decisions and be creative in problem solving. According to research happier people are more successful and more productive.
